HOW WE ARE INVOLVED IN RWANDA & WHAT’S GOING ON:

In 2005, CCLH and Pastor Francis’ church, Christ Gospel Fellowship of Rwanda partnered in a child sponsorship program that helps support the needy and orphaned children of Rwanda. Click here to learn more about this program (ABC Kids).

For the past five years, teams from CCLH have hosted Vacation Bible Schools in various communities in Rwanda. In 2008, we reached out to the women in Rwanda by providing baking classes and an oven to help them start a small baking ministry and business.

Rwanda Missions Trip 2011

Mission Sundays

Want to get involved with Committed Missions ministry but don’t know where to start? Every month Committed Missions hosts a Missions Sunday at Calvary Chapel La Habra. So we have lots of opportunities for you to help out. It involves about an hour one Sunday a month and there is a variety or areas you can choose to help in.

Do you like to prepare, cook, or serve food? Then there’s plenty for you to do.

The Food ministry prepares and cooks foods like carne asada tacos or teriyaki bowls to help raise money to support our missions. We need help prepping and serving the food. Food is served after the 9am and 11am services.

Are you good at entertaining kids? Great. We need you!

We tie in the Missions Sunday theme with the children’s ministry by visiting their classes, teaching them games, singing songs, and telling them stories so they too can learn about the areas Committed Missions is involved in. Children’s ministry is held during both services. You would only need help during one.

Do you love to organize and plan? We could use your help.

Before, during and after services on Missions Sunday requires some setup and some planning to ensure all areas are taken care of and that all tables, signs, slide shows, and announcements, etc…are ready to go. We will meet once a month two Sundays prior to the Missions Sunday to put together the plan for that coming Missions Sunday.
